The Tsikrikonis family has been involved in tsipouro production for four decades.
Traditionally, after the winemaking process, the grape marc is transferred to the still, where tsipouro is produced using the classic method of double distillation. The distillation takes place in a traditional copper alembic over a wood-fired oven.
Visitors can take part in the process and enjoy tsipouro paired with local cuisine within the distillery premises.
A dedicated aging room for tsipouro is also available, where one can enjoy distillates aged over 15 years in acacia and oak barrels.
It is worth noting that Efstathios Tsikrikonis was a pioneer in this field, as he established one of the first officially recognized distilleries in Greece (MYRTOFYTO S.A.) and was among the first to age tsipouro.
